Jatayu

Jatayu is a ride-safety monitoring device designed to be worn on the rider’s body while riding. Its IMU tracks movement and looks for patterns that may indicate an incident, followed by a period of rider inactivity. While riding, Jatayu pairs with the rider’s mobile phone over Bluetooth. If a potential incident leaves the rider unable to respond, the planned system can trigger a local alarm on the phone and send an emergency alert to chosen contacts by phone call, SMS, or a custom alert. Jatayu is currently at the prototype stage. We are seeking Kickstarter funding to develop the device and bring it closer to riders.
